Born on February 15, 1951 in Pangnirtung, Jaco Ishulutak comes from a family of artists. His mother Eleesapee Ishulutak is a famous artist. Jaco produced graphic work based on stories he heard from his grandfather, who also significantly influenced his artistic technique.

Jaco is highly skilled in various mediums including stone, ivory, whalebone and antler.

Over the years he has produced many sought after pieces some of which are exhibited in fine art galleries across the globe.
